Hero ranking update

As Ulstrup has bought another Scott frame with an integrated seatpost (http://www.3dimage.dk/ulstrup/?p=196), he is now beeing punished and has be degraded to third place. Borup must see this as a perfect oppertunity to kick ass in the ‘08 season and perhaps even beat the man himself for the first place… This is where the hero ranking can be found: http://www.kristianskjodt.dk/wordpress/?page_id=77

Leftorium

As many of you know, I love my bike. I mean, I just don’t really like it – I seriously LOVE IT. It’s not that uncommon for wish-to-believe-they-were-good riders like me to have a special relationship with their bikes. However, I do believe that I’ve seen more action with my bike than many others have. (more…)

Milos 2008

Well, there is one holiday plan the Mononucleosis can’t take away from me: The annual Milos sea-kayaking trip with my folks. We just booked the slot with Rod and Petrinella and the flights have been booked as well. However, quite a pickle to get the sorted. Who would have thought it would take you longer to book a basic Denmark – Athens flight, than the actual flight itself? And furthermore, the local flight in Greece with Olympic Airlines is somewhat of a gamble. Their reliability is as good as the health regulations in an Algerian soup-kitchen, so we’re really hoping that the flight will actually exist when we get there in the summer.

This year we’re bringing Hans and Eva, a couple of my parents good friends along. Last year as some of you might remember, we brought my cousins and uncle and aunt – Yet another great trip… Strongly considering bringing my bike there this year.

Just what the doctor ordered

Well, fortunately I’m improving. I am actually improving so much more than what the doctors anticipated that they are so impressed; I’ve been allowed to get back on the horse. Ehh, well, the bike then. As long as it’s completely risk free of crashes or any injuries – So that means indoor cycling and when I get completely over the initial infection I’ll be able to do some road cycling as well. But still no Alcohol for at least six months, and no mountain bike until may - And that’s if I’m lucky!

So I am on the look out for a TACX hometrainer to get me back into shape again. Until then, it’s a matter of re-stuffing the body with nutritious energy to give it something to work on, and enable me to gain some of the lost weight again – That means drinking around one litre of special home-made protein-shake every day. So no worries, no pre-made tetra-packs for me anymore!! It’s all home-made with milk, cream, and weird powders bought from a pharmacist. I’ll grab you a picture shortly.

8kgs

14 days ago I fell ill. Thought it was just the flue. However, 9 days ago the blood samples showed that I had gotten the Epstein-Barr virus which causes Mononucleosis also known as Glandular fever or simply Kissing disease. (more…)
